Default Items to Bring...

Hello all,

I have a new SN who will be attending "A" School this summer, and was wondering what all she needs to bring with? Its been a while since I have attended and cannot seem to remember much. Does anyone have a list?

Thank you much!

I agree with the sea bag list, but check out the TRACEN Yorktown Website for additional info, (also, the SN will get an email prior to reporting in from the A school staff). It's not boot camp, no need to list how many pairs of underwear to bring. I think the best advice is to know what not to bring. Contact me or anyone else on the A school staff if there needs to be anymore clarification.

Caffeine, a sense of humor, and a lock.

In all seriousness, a full sea bag, a lock for the locker in which you store your personal goods--laptop, cell phone, purse, etc., some civilian clothes (I had a suitcase full and had WAY more than I needed) and some workout gear. An iron wouldn't hurt anyone either.

And tabs. Lots of them.

A car if they have one. I highly recommend it.

Bring your POV, unless you want to be stuck on base during the weekends.

Give your member my last name to look up in global, Ursin (the only one). I will hook them up since I am the one that emails the welcome aboard packages out.

VAN? Wow, times have changed. We typically had one or two people who had a car ( or was willing to rent one!)

Heck, I found a good pair of walking shoes was best - but then again, I enjoyed wandering the foggy battlefields..
